Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Department of Sculpture Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dilek Öcalan curated the first exhibition of WIRE SCULPTURE in Çankırı and Turkey. The exhibition consists of 22 aluminum wire sculptures made by the 1st grade students of the painting department. A total of 300 kg of aluminum wire used in the construction of wire sculptures was provided by KICIMAN Tel Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş., which sponsored the exhibition and serves in Korgun Organized Industry.
The Wire Sculpture Exhibition met with art lovers at ÇAKU Uluyazı Campus, SKS Department Exhibition Hall. Didem Taşolar, wife of Çankırı Governor Fırat Taşolar, Deputy Governor Recep Yüksel and his wife Derya Yüksel, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Odabaş, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Şebnem Kuşvuran and Head of SKS Department Murat Yıldırım, academicians, students and citizens attended the opening. The Wire Sculpture exhibition is open to visitors until September.
