Miniature Art Exhibition: Time Hidden in Detail

The “Miniature Art Painting Exhibition,” organized by the Department of Painting of our Faculty, hosted its visitors between May 12 and 15, 2026, at the Department of Painting Exhibition Hall.

Organized by Dr. Murat Kalafat, the exhibition brought together the refined visual language of traditional miniature art and the contemporary artistic production processes of students. The reinterpretation of traditional artistic forms, colors, compositions, modes of representation and narrative structures by students contributed to the understanding of cultural heritage, the development of creative perspectives and the strengthening of practice-based art education.

Inspired by the idea of “a small world, a great heritage,” the exhibition made visible the sense of time hidden in details and the aesthetic accumulation extending from tradition to art. While creating a meaningful point of reference in visitors’ visual memory regarding traditional arts, the exhibition also made a valuable contribution to the artistic archive of our Faculty.

The opening was held on May 12, 2026, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Ersoy Yılmaz, Dean of our Faculty, and invited guests. Our Faculty continues to support such artistic productions that reinterpret traditional arts within contemporary art education.
