A Notable Achievement from Our Faculty at the 77th State Painting and Sculpture Competition

The results of the 77th State Painting and Sculpture Competition, one of the most prestigious and well-established events in the Turkish art scene, have been announced. Organized by the General Directorate of Fine Arts under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the competition received a total of 783 submissions this year.

Following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a jury of distinguished academics and artists, 51 works were selected for awards across different categories.

In the sculpture category, Assoc. Prof. Dilek Öcalan, a faculty member of our Department of Sculpture, achieved notable success with her wooden work titled “Hafıza” (Memory), which was deemed “worthy of exhibition.”
